In Middlesex County, prices rose for every-sized multi-family. In most cases, there were fewer sales, but properties sold more quickly and for more money, on average. Performance varied in individual markets within the county. Areas like the Metro-west, Woburn area, Everett, Lowell, Medford, Newton, Waltham, and Watertown show a consistent incline over the last 8 years, while other areas are leveling off slightly but still with a remarkable incline over the years. It is clear that despite the perceived turmoil from the pandemic, the real estate market remains active in Middlesex County and continues to provide a return for multi-family investors.
